Ventnor Carnival And Fireworks Tonight: Here's How To Get Involved

As Ventnor Carnival arrives in the town residents are told to expect fun, fireworks, and some road closures this evening (Wednesday).

With appearances from Ventnor Jazz Band, the Vectis Corps of Drums and Medina Marching Band, there will be plenty to take in.

Joining the traditional bands will be the upbeat Raw Samba and Fat Samba, along with traditional carnival entries, floats and Queens.

Those heading to join in the fun are being urged to park in the designated car parks and arrive in plenty of time for the procession start.

Starting promptly at 7pm tonight, the procession route will include:

  • Pier Street
  • High Street
  • Madeira Road
  • St Catherine's Street
  • Victoria Street
  • Albert Street
  • Pier Street
  • Church Street
  • Belgrave Road
  • Park Avenue

Parking has been suspended in several of these roads to allow the carnival to proceed, with residents asked to make sure their vehicles are parked elsewhere until after the event.

The night will finish with a firework display on Ventnor Seafront shortly after the main procession at around 9pm.

For those heading by car, suggested parking includes:

  • The Grove Car Park
  • Central Car Park
  • La Falaise Car Park
  • Market Street Car Park
  • Dudley Road Car Park
