Vecta House Residents Enjoy Trip To The Beach

Residents of a Newport care home took to the golden sands of Ryde at the weekend, embracing the late-summer heatwave.

The group from Vecta House nursing Home ventured out on the mini bus for a trip to the seaside.

They packed their deck chairs and picnic blankets ready for a seaside adventure.

Residents devoured a delicious ice-cream while reminiscing of times they would spend with family on the beach.

Pete one of Vecta House residents joined Tanya the activities leader for a paddle in the sea smiling and laughing as the waves splashed against his feet, they then walked along the seashore to hunt for shells which were taken back to Vecta house for residents to enjoy looking at.

Everyone had a glorious day enjoying their time at the beach, to feel the warm sand between their toes and smell the fresh sea air brought back fond memories.
