Theatretrain's Nationwide Danceathon 2023 Aims To Raise £100,000 For Children's Charity

Theatretrain Isle of Wight, the renowned performing arts company, will host its Nationwide Danceathon tomorrow (Saturday).

The exciting event aims to raise £100,000 in support of Theodora Children's Charity.

Building upon the tremendous success of the 2018 Danceathon, where more than £62,000 was raised, Theatretrain is committed to making an even greater impact this year.

The Theatretrain Nationwide Danceathon promises to be an extraordinary celebration of dance, unity, and the power of giving back.

Participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds will join together across the nation to dance their hearts out, with all proceeds directly benefiting Theodora Children's Charity.

The charity is a beacon of hope for thousands of sick and hospitalised children, using the power of laughter and play to brighten their lives during challenging times.

Their team of Giggle Doctors visits children in hospitals, hospices, and specialist care centres, delivering much-needed smiles and laughter, providing emotional support, and promoting overall wellbeing.

Founder and Artistic Director of Theatretrain, Kevin Dowsett, said:

"We are incredibly excited about this year's Nationwide Danceathon and the opportunity to support Theodora Children's Charity.

"Our past achievements demonstrate the extraordinary impact of coming together through dance for a noble cause.

"With the goal of raising £100,000, we aim to create an even more significant positive change in the lives of these deserving children, and we
know that together, we can make a difference."
