Successful ‘Meet The Funders’ Event Brings Funding To Ryde Community Groups

The ‘Meet the Funders’ event has taken place at Aspire Ryde providing a unique platform for local Ryde community groups to connect with several funding organisations.

The event aimed to equip community organisations with comprehensive knowledge about available funding options and their specific criteria.

Throughout the day, representatives from key funding organisations delivered insightful presentations, sharing valuable information about their respective funding programmes, eligibility criteria, and application processes.

Various funders included: Wight Aid, Isle of Wight Foundation, Hampshire and IOW Community Fund, National Lottery Community Fund, Arts Council, and National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Over 90 one-on-one appointments were attended on the day and these face-to-face sessions allowed participants the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with funders and gain a deeper insight into specific funding opportunities.

Community Development Officer, Alison Pearce said:

"I am really pleased with the success of the 'Meet the Funders' event. It provided an invaluable opportunity for our local community groups to directly connect with funding organisations.

"The engagement and positive interactions throughout the day are a testament to the dedication of our community.

"It’s been a great joint event with Aspire and I would like to thank all the funders and participants who made this event a resounding success."
