There's a chance to learn more about the Island's wildlife in Newport as Gift to Nature hosts its 'Tales and Trails' event this Sunday (13th August).
Taking place at Pan Country Park, ‘Tales & Trails’ offers ranger-led walks, storytelling for all ages and a range of activities.
Wildlife experts will be on hand throughout the day to share their knowledge of red squirrels, hedgehogs, butterflies and moths, along with top tips on exploring respectfully.
The event has been organised by Gift to Nature, a local countryside charity which manages Pan Country Park and more than 30 other natural spaces across the Isle of Wight,.
Gift to Nature Engagement Officer, Rachael Ardley, said:
"This is a great opportunity for people to get out in the countryside and connect with nature.’"
The event is being supported by Asda - with those attending able to use of the superstore car park and toilets. Blue badge holders should use the old Pan Lane.
Details of this event and the Gift to Nature sites may be found at gifttonature.org.uk.
