Southern Vectis And Bluestar Colleagues Experience VIP Hovercraft Flight

Colleagues from Go-Ahead Group owned Southern Vectis and Bluestar visited Hovertravel to take advantage of the Solent Views meeting facility at Ryde and see how the hovercraft performs.

Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel explains:

“We welcomed the opportunity to discuss transport with our visitors from the two bus operators and we wanted to demonstrate the capabilities of our hovercraft so we organised a private VIP experience flight.”

Hovertravel has a particularly close working relationship with Southern Vectis, ensuring that visitors to the Isle of Wight are offered the best onward connections to attractions, accommodation and other places of interest.

Andrew Wickham, Southern Vectis and Bluestar managing director, added:

”It was a pleasure to join the team at Hovertravel for the day. Hovercraft flights are hugely popular among those travelling to-and-from the Isle of Wight.

"They provide a vital link for our own customers - who also make good use of Southern Vectis’s comprehensive bus network across the Island.

“Many thanks to the Hovertravel team, who gave us a real insight into everything this exciting and unique method of travel has to offer.”
