Orchard House Care Home marked Remembrance Day this week with a heartfelt ceremony honouring those who have served and sacrificed.
Residents, staff and guests at the Newport home gathered to pay their respects, observing a solemn minute of silence as a tribute to fallen heroes and loved ones.
Following the ceremony, attendees were treated to an uplifting performance by Maurice, a skilled tap dancer whose lively routine brought smiles and joy to the entire community.
The event balanced reflection and celebration, creating an atmosphere of unity and gratitude.
“This day is always special for our residents, and we’re honoured to share it with friends and family,” said Katie Schlepp, Head of lifestyle at Orchard House Care Home.
“Remembrance Day is about coming together as a community to honour our past while celebrating the present.”
The ceremony and entertainment were part of Orchard House’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful and memorable experiences for residents.
The staff and residents look forward to continuing this tradition of remembrance and community spirit in the years to come.
