Residents at a Newport care home were the cream of the crop last week as they celebrated alongside staff and thousands of other people across the UK!
Members of Orchard House saw in National Cream Tea Day with a selection of cakes and hot drinks.
A member of staff at the home said:
"We had an amazing celebration, with our lovely residents indulging in delicious homemade scones made by our talented chef, Clair.
"The aroma of freshly baked scones filled the air, and everyone couldn't resist the warm, buttery treats.
"Cream tea is a quintessentially British tradition, and it's always a joy to share this delightful experience with our residents."
National Cream Tea Day is an annual celebration on the last Friday in June of this quintessential British light afternoon meal.
Since the campaign began it has raised over £500,000 across the UK.
