Medina Publishing Release Pays Homage To Quirky Carisbrooke Castle Collection

Medina Publishing is celebrating the release of its latest publication, Treasures and Curiosities from the collection of Carisbrooke Castle Museum By Dr. Rachel Tait & Kate Tiley.

Established in 1898 by Princess Beatrice, Carisbrooke Castle Museum was intended to be a treasury for objects illustrative of the Islands history.

In the 125 years since, the museum has collected almost 35,000 artefacts and many have never been viewed by the public, their stories left uncovered, until now!

Treasures and Curiosities takes 100 of these items and delves into the Islands rich history uncovering some of the more unusual and quirky tales of the past.

Rich tapestries, ornate vases, extravagant items of clothing, forgotten toys, there are countless items that are guaranteed to spark curiosity and wonder in all who perceive them.

Carisbrooke Castle Museum is a charity-run independent accredited museum and remains dedicated to the Island’s rich and varied history.
