Stainless Games Ltd hosted His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Susie Sheldon, this week to officially present the King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade.
Patrick Buckland and Matt Edmunds received the award on behalf of Stainless Games in their role as company directors.
Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, Stainless received the award for exceptional growth over a three-year period in international trade.
Having worked with global companies like Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Universal Pictures, Stainless has earned a reputation for delivering quality work at the highest levels.
The event was held at Stainless’ HQ in Newport with some 50 staff in attendance.
Everyone enjoyed some light refreshments afterwards to join in the celebrations of the tremendous achievement.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, given only to companies or individuals who are outstanding in their field.
Previously known as the Queen’s Awards to Industry, the first Awards were given in 1966.
Patrick Buckland, Stainless co-founder and CEO, said:
"We’ve always been based in the Newport area, and we’ve been in the High Street for the last twenty years.
"I set this company up to be a model employer and to give something back to the community in which I grew up.
"We’ve become an established part of the Island ecosystem, something that makes me truly delighted as a passionate supporter and life-long resident of our precious island."
