Isle of Wight East MP, Joe Robertson, has launched a competition to design his 2024 Christmas card.
All primary school aged children attending school in the Isle of Wight East constituency are invited to enter, plus those being home educated and living in the East Wight.
Joe launched his competition at Brading Primary School this week and said he wanted to see lots of colours and creativity. He said he would be sending hundreds of cards this Christmas, both locally and in Westminster, and he wanted to showcase local children’s artistic talent.
“This is the time to get creative and think about what you most enjoy about Christmas,” Joe told Brading’s Year 6 pupils.
“Draw or paint whatever makes you feel Chirstmassy and you think people would like to get in the post!”
The MP shared a variety of cards he received last year to stimulate thoughts and conversation.
Designs should be completed on A5, A4 or A3 paper or card and sent to the MP’s constituency office with the child’s name, age, school year, and school name or home address if home educated.
For children attending school, Joe asks that schools collate the artwork and send them to the MP’s office:
