The Phoenix Choir held a concert at St Saviour‘s Church in Totland to help raise funds for the Church’s forthcoming centenary celebrations in August.
The enthusiastic audience was entertained with a programme ranging from “The Trolley Song” to “The Circle of Life”.
The soloists were Sandra Aldridge singing “Hopelessly Devoted To You”, Ian Attrill with “I Can’t Stop Loving You”, Alistair Drain singing “I’ll See You In My Dreams” and accompanying himself on ukulele.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Habens singing “Some Day My Heart Will Awake” - plus a first for Phoenix - a male duet of “Perhaps Love” performed by John Normanton and Paul Stevens.
The evening raised £730.
The next opportunity to see the Phoenix Choir will be at All Saints Church Ryde on Saturday August 5 at 7.30pm.
