Isle Of Wight Brass Band Dates Announced: First Event Today

An Isle of Wight brass band is busy rehearsing for a series of concerts in September and October.

Abbey Brass will perform at St Mary’s Church, Brading on Septmber 9, Binstead Methodist Church on September 16, both at 7.30pm, and at Quarr Abbey, Binstead, on October 7 at 3pm.

The Brading and Binstead concerts will feature music from the movies, musicals, and from the pop and classical repetiore.

The special performance at Quarr Abbey will comprise a selection of traditional and contemporary sacred music.

Band chairman Andy Croucher said:

“We have been working hard over the last couple of months putting together a new programme of music which I’m sure the audiences will enjoy.

"We are delighted to return to Quarr Abbey after our first successful concert there in 2021.”

Admission to all concerts is free, with a retiring collection.
