ICRTouch Supports Isle Of Wight Foodbank With Reverse Advent Donation

ICRTouch has recently made a generous donation to support the Isle of Wight Foodbank’s Reverse Advent Calendar initiative.

The Reverse Advent Calendar encouraged people to select an item a day for 24 days of November, which, once donated, provides staple food items and treats to support individuals and families in need this Christmas.

Members of the ICRTouch team purchased bulk food items to make up a whole host of these Christmas packs and delivered them to the Foodbank’s HQ in Cowes last week.

Christmas time is a particularly busy time for the charity, with anywhere between 800-900 individuals visiting the Foodbank’s drop-in cafes across the Island in December alone.

The Foodbank team, consisting mainly of volunteers, works tirelessly not just during the festive season, but all year round, to ensure those in
need have the support they need.

Colin, ICRTouch CEO, joined the team to deliver the food items and said:

“Christmas can be a tough time for a lot of people and the Foodbank team works so hard to support people across the Island - it’s amazing to see the difference they make.

"We’re really proud to lend a hand and hope that these donations bring a little comfort and joy to those who need it this Christmas.”

Of note, 85% of Foodbank users only visit once or twice, with most being working people who need extra support due to the cost of living crisis and loss of winter fuel allowance.
