Electric Dreams – 'Even Bigger' Free Technology Show Coming To Isle Of Wight

The Island's largest Electric Vehicle and Green Technology show is returning to the Isle of Wight College this weekend.

Sunday (July 30) will see the second annual show, with 40 exhibition and display stands providing information on everything from the latest EVs and EV charging to renewable energy, eBikes and motorbikes.

It will also offer an insight into marine innovations, green home ideas, an EV Driving School and a full day of talks.

The highly successful inaugural event in 2022 which saw almost 1,000 people attend, it promises to be even bigger and better.

The event is open from 10am - 4pm, and it’s free to attend and park.

This year is even bigger with many more EV models on display from the Island's leading main dealers including Leslies Motor Group, Esplanade, Premier Motors, Central Garage, Snows, Harwoods and Nixon Automotive.

It will include showcases from Ford, MG, Kia, Suzuki, Toyota, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, VW, Volvo, Citroen, BMW, Mini and Renault.

Visitors can also chat to leading EV Driving School EVO Driver Training, and a speciality used-EV dealer Forecourt-E.

The dedicated eBikes zone provides the perfect opportunity to see the latest in eBikes and talk to experts from WightBike, Isle Access, Keert and Cyclewight.

The 500m test area provides the chance to jump on and try an eBike for yourself.

A spokesperson for the event said:

"Going Electric is dedicated to showcasing electric transport and green technology in all its forms.

"This not only includes Electric Vehicles (EVs), but vans, bikes, charging infrastructure, renewables and more."
