East Cowes pub, The Folly Inn, has announced the appointment of a new General Manager.
Victoria Murphy, who started her hospitality career in Malta, brings plenty of experience in the industry, having successfully managed several UK based pubs.
She has now decided to settle in the Isle of Wight with husband, Lee, who will be joining her as Assistant Manager at the site.
Victoria and Lee say they have fallen in love with the Island’s charm, history, and culture.
In taking on the picturesque waterside pub, they hope to transform The Folly Inn into a hub for the local community to enjoy.
The pub’s first major community event – The Folly Inn Summer Party – will be held this Thursday (May 2) and aims to bring the community together for a night of fun to celebrate the start of the summer months and celebrate all things Isle of Wight.
The celebration will include live entertainment, an outdoor cinema, a photo mirror and traditional wooden garden games.
Alongside a taster of the pub’s menu, complimentary popcorn and ice cream will be provided.
Victoria said:
“Our team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to get ready to start the summer with a bang, with a special celebration held exclusively for residents of the Isle of Wight.
“I am determined to create a welcoming environment for everyone, making The Folly Inn a hub for the local community.
“We can’t wait to welcome customers both old and new to our summer party and with so much going on, from fun and games to the best entertainment our Island has to offer."
Alongside the new General Manager, the pub has also introduced a new menu.
