Dover Park's Christingle Service Raises £230 For Charity

Dover Park Primary School has celebrates its first Christingle service and raised money for local church and charity in the process.

The school community gathered at All Saints Church on Thursday, 14th December for their first truly unforgettable Christingle Service.

All Saints Church was packed to the rafters with children, parents, and their families.

Mr. Kirby, who joined the school as Headteacher in September, said:

"It was absolutely incredible to have the whole school community together in such a beautiful setting and to celebrate Christmas together. The evening surpassed all expectations"

The Christingle Service marked the first celebration of this tradition for Dover Park Primary school – a tradition they hope to continue. Candlelight filled the church and the children sung modern carols to depict the nativity story.

Donations were received from parents and families and an incredible £230 will be split equally between ll Saints Church and Aspire.

Dover Park Primary would also like to thank All Saints Church for allowing them to use their stunning venue and Ryde Co-Op and ‘The Vegetable Cart’ for kindly donating oranges and sweets to make the beautiful Christingles.
