Dates Announced For Warrior Festival 2024

Warrior Festival is back again for 2024 and returning to Smallbrook Stadium, Ryde, on Saturday 21 September.

Last year was another hugely successful one for Warrior and the Brainy Bunch, with the event raising £20,000 to help support families on the Island affected by brain tumours.

Warrior Festival is a one-day, family friendly festival, with acts set to be announced soon.

To that end, Platform One (music college in Newport) has become an integral part of promoting local up-and-coming music talent, and this will become a permanent fixture at the event this year.

Warrior Festival will include an indoor VIP lounge, with its own bar, toilet facilities and outside viewing platform.

In the main arena there will be a variety of food and drink options available provided by local vendors, and a large area to keep younger guests entertained with rides, games, face-painting, and inflatables.

The original idea for Warrior Festival came about when a close friend of organiser Toby Sleight was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

The help and support she received from The Wight Brainy Bunch inspired the want to give something back.

Organiser Toby, who also fronts local tribute band 'Foo Fighterz', said:

“I wanted to put on a small charity gig hosted by the Island's Foo Fighters tribute band, but this snowballed as more local musicians offered to get involved”.

The Wight Brainy Bunch provides invaluable emotional support and financial assistance to families affected by the devastating effects of brain tumours.

The charity was founded by Ryde firefighter Mark Grimes and his wife Kathryn, following Mark’s diagnosis of a brain tumour in February 2015.

Those wishing to travel to the festival can catch a shuttle coach from/to Ryde Esplanade/Smallbrook Stadium for just £2 per person per trip.

There is also parking available for £3 per vehicle.

For those who would like to stay the night, camping is also available.

Camping and VIP Access tickets are on sale via The Price Is Wight.

All proceeds are in aid of The Wight Brainy Bunch, with early bird tickets available throughout February.
