Children at Cowes Primary School have been experimenting with different types of drumming to create their own beat.
Pupils used Djembe drums from Africa and Dhol drums from India.
The children's reactions to the experiences were everything from 'loud but so much fun' to 'he challenged us to to do strange and creative rhythms'.
A spokesperson for Cowes Primary said:
"As a school of around 25% pupils from different countries, it was a wonderful way to explore different musical cultures and instruments...while of course having fun.
"I have attached a few photos for your your information."
