Companionship And Nutritious Lunch Await Older Residents At Newport's Orchard House

A new and heartwarming initiative to combat loneliness among older Islanders has been launched by Newport's Orchard House Care Centre.

A spokesperson for Orchard House said:

"We understand meal times can often be a lonely experience for older people, and we are committed to changing that.

"Starting next week, Orchard House Care Centre is inviting local seniors to join us for a nutritious lunch every Friday from 12pm to 2pm.

"We believe that sharing a meal is more than just nourishment; it’s an opportunity for connection and companionship. Christmas is coming “Don’t Dine Alone”

Places must be booked in advance.

The initiative is touted a chance for older residents to enjoy the warmth of our hospitality, relish delicious meals, and make new friends.
