Chinese New Year Celebration Sparks Joy And Excitement At Orchard House Care Home

Orchard House Care Home kicked off the Year of the Dragon in style today, marking the Chinese New Year with a vibrant celebration that brought residents and staff together in a spirit of joy and excitement.

The day began with anticipation as residents and staff gathered to welcome the auspicious Year of the Dragon, renowned for bringing good fortune to all.

With spirits high, everyone eagerly cracked open fortune cookies, revealing cheeky messages that brought smiles and laughter to all.

Katie Schlepp, Head of Lifestyle, said:

"We're thrilled to celebrate the Chinese New Year here at Orchard House."

"It's a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community, share laughter, and create lasting memories."

In addition to the fortune cookies, residents and staff indulged in delicious spring rolls, adding a touch of culinary delight to the festivities.

The aroma of freshly cooked delicacies filled the air, adding to the already electric atmosphere.

"The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing," remarked Basil Hill, a resident at Orchard House.

"It was such a joy to see everyone coming together to celebrate and share in the excitement of the Chinese New Year."

As the day drew to a close, residents and staff reflected on the joyous celebration and looked forward to the year ahead, filled with hope, happiness, and the promise of good fortune.
