Residents of Old Charlton House in Cowes have been celebrating Chinese New Year.
The year of the snake in 2025 symbolises strength, sympathy and beauty.
Residents and staff dressed in red - consider a lucky colour in China, with the home draped in Chinese style crafting created by residents in the lead up to the day.
These included sparkly Chinese lanterns, painted dragons and snakes, Chinese names, and finger painted cherry blossom trees.
Activities co-ordinator, Debbie Webb, said:
“It was a fantastic day and heartwarming to see how the residents embraced it and enjoyed themselves.
"They have been wishing each other 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' – Happy New Year in Mandarin!
"At Old Charlton we provide our residents with as many life enrichment experiences as we can, so that they are leading as fulfilled a life as possible”.
