Organisers of a festive charity event are asking Island businesses for their help to ensure its local chosen charities benefit to the max.
Step Into Christmas, which takes place on Saturday (December 2) from 10am to 5pm in Newport's Scarrots Lane, will raise money for Barnardo's Isle of Wight Young Carers and Newport Carnival.
The following venues will be involved with the day's activities:
An event organiser explained:
"The business that was going to supply us with selection boxes for our Father Christmas can't do this now sadly.
"So we are asking if any Island business can help us out - it will be so hugely appreciated.
"Otherwise we will have to purchase them and that will mean less money to go towards our charities."
In addition to Santa, the day's activities will include a fire display by the team from Wyldfire Jack Wylds, Daisy Wylds and Kai Davies, as well as an LED hoop performance by Azaria.
