Alzheimer's Charity Event To Bring Music And Fun To Newport's Strings

A homecare provider based in Bembridge will host a night of music at Strings Bar and Venue to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Right at Home Isle of Wight is putting the event on during the evening of Friday July 21.

The night will support owner and managing director Paul in his 26-mile Trek in August.

As a cause close to their hearts, Paul and wife Vicky continue to fundraise for the charity who fight to support the lives of those with Dementia.

In October Vicky ran the London Marathon and raised £2,000, while Paul’s fundraising goal is £500.

He said:

"I’m taking on the Trek 26 challenge in the Peak District in August in memory of my dad who passed away in 2019 with Alzheimer's.

"Since my dad passed, my wife and I started our own home care business, Right at Home Isle of Wight — with the sole purpose of providing better care than my dad received when he was ill.

"Since then, we have recruited an amazing team giving top quality care to our clients, also winning Isle of Wight Radio's New business of the year award 2022 and being rated Outstanding by the CQC.

"I know that my Dad would be proud of what we have achieved in his memory.”

Doors for the event open at 7.30pm, with the music commencing at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased online.
