The owners of a new virtual reality experience which has opened on the Island have pledged to donate 10% of their profits to Mountbatten.
The Rowling family had the idea to bring Wight VR to the Isle of Wight after seeing something similar in Brighton.
Dan Rowling said: “Imagine immersing yourself in a reality where anything is possible. You can walk a plank from 80 stories high, you can feel like you're a real life action hero or you could use a light saber whilst dancing to some fast paced tunes.
“Wight VR is great for any indoor event, from weddings to birthday parties or even corporate functions; all that's required is a 3 metre squared area and a couple of plug points. We will provide all the equipment, the fun and even run it all for you.
“We chose Mountbatten because; not only are they a great local charity that provides so much for the Island community, but they have helped so many people close to me and my family. Particularly caring for my best friend and his family when we lost him in 2003.”
