It appears the cost of living crisis has claimed another popular Isle of Wight business — this time a much-loved tea room in Ryde.
Bartletts Green Farm tea rooms, based on Brading Road, just past Busy Bee, will be shutting its doors on October 29.
It's been announced the venue will continue to be available for private functions, however.
The owners say the tea room side of the business cannot be sustained because of the continued rising costs.
A statement on Bartletts Facebook page, said:
"For any of our customers that have not heard the news already, we will be closing our doors on 29th October.
"It is with great sadness that we have had to make this decision but we can not sustain the running of this business with the continued rising costs.
"We would like to thank all of you for your continued support over the past 6 years.
"This said, we will still be taking on Private Functions. So if you would like to celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary, Baby Shower or even need a venue for a Wake, please give us a call.
"Lastly, we ask if you have any vouchers could you please book to redeem them before the 29th October."
