Santa Dash – Mountbatten’s annual festive family fun run – will return next month at a new venue.
The 5km run will be held at Ventnor Botanic Garden on Sunday, December 12 and, as ever, all runners will receive a Santa suit to wear on the day.
The route will weave around the beautiful grounds, finishing in a special Christmas village featuring live music, gift stalls, a meet and greet with Frozen characters and the chance to see Santa.
“Covid prevented us from having a Santa Dash last year, and we really missed it, so we are delighted to bring it back,” said Nigel Hartley, Mountbatten CEO.
“This is such a fun event, and moving it to Ventnor Botanic Garden promises to make it even better.
“It is a great way to get all the family into the Christmas spirit, so please sign up to support Mountbatten."
The run starts at 11am, with registration open from 10am.
All ages and abilities are welcome.
Tickets are available from Mountbatten’s website costing £20 for an adult and £10 per child (under 16), with a family ticket available for £45 (up to two adults and three children).
Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a special Santa Dash medal.
There is also a chance to be entered into a prize draw with more £500 worth of family prizes.
To sign up head over to www.mountbatten.
Meanwhile, the Mountbatten Carol Service will be held at Newport Minster on Wednesday, December 22 at 7.30pm. All welcome.
