The Isle of Wight Youth Trust has hailed its successful Open Day event.

The sessions were designed to connect with various members of the Island community and showcase its vital work supporting children and young people.

The day began with a welcoming morning session where parents and their children

were invited to explore the Youth Trust's facilities and learn more about the support

available.

This provided a valuable opportunity for families to engage directly with the

charity in a relaxed setting.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to engagement with local stakeholders and the

business community.

Representatives were invited for a tour of the Youth Trust premises and attended an informative presentation.

The presentation detailed the comprehensive work undertaken by the Trust, highlighting its significant history and achievements over the past 40 years. Key themes included the Trust's pivotal role in shaping mental health support for young people on the Isle of Wight and its commitment to ensuring young voices are heard and represented effectively across the Island.

Jo Dare, Chief Executive Officer for the Trust, commented:

”We were so pleased to be able to showcase how the Youth Trust is developing its vital work to support the mental health and wellbeing of young Islanders up to the age of 25.
"We were able to explain how the demand for our services is growing and how challenging it can be to achieve the funds required.
"If individuals or businesses are interested in our work and maybe able to support what we do, then please contact Abi on fundraising@iowyouthtrust.co.uk
