Christmas Market at Donkey Sanctuary

IOW Donkey Sanctuary Christmas Market will take place on Sunday, November 24th.

Browse around 30 stallholders selling various items, while listening to live music. With a warm cosy cafe selling a range of hot snacks and cakes, including an extensive vegan range, there’s something to suit all tastes. The sanctuary’s 94 donkeys and 24 horses and ponies are looking forward to welcoming you!

 

A modern day adaption of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table will be showing at Freshwater Memorial Hall in December.

The pantomime, written by West Wight resident Kelly Daniel and performed by The New Strolling Players, will be filled with plenty of local humour to delight families of all ages in the run up to Christmas. From the 12th-14th December, performances will be held at 7.30pm, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday 14th at 2.30pm. Tickets are £7 per adult and £5 per child, or £20 per family. Jack Up Christmas

For the ultimate retro party, Jack Up Christmas is coming to Lower Hyde in Shanklin on November 22nd and 23rd. Eighties aficionados and lovers of Nineties dance groove will be boogieing the night away with Dario G and Urban Cookie Collective on the Friday and The Fizz, formerly known as Bucks Fizz, performing their greatest hits on the Saturday. New for 2019 – Dino Islands at Sandham Gardens

Go on a prehistoric journey to a forgotten land of dinosaurs at Sandham Gardens in Sandown. Dino Islands: A Golf Adventure is the latest attraction to open at the park and it includes a number of water features and life-size dinosaurs.
Suitable for all ages, there are also sizzling volcanoes, rickety bridges and wonderful waterfalls to explore.
You can also let the kids zoom around the track on the park’s six battery-powered electric karts, suitable for children aged 4-12.

Experience magical Shanklin Chine

Shanklin Chine, the Island’s oldest tourist attraction, re-opens on April 8th for the summer season.The attraction celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2017 and last year became a Registered Charity, so it could be preserved for future generations.
This year, the stunning tree-lined gorge, which has been a magnet for millions of visitors since 1817, will open until November 3rd.
Soak up the Chine’s natural tranquillity and then enjoy the hundreds of lights illuminating the narrow paths, streams and waterfalls after dusk.
