Dash and Splash 2019

Dash & Splash returns for its fifth year on Sunday, July 28th.


The unique 5k run/walk along Sandown Bay starts from Shanklin Rowing Club when the tide is at its lowest at 2pm.
Runners will head along the sand and over the groynes towards Yaverland Seafront, before the tide comes in. There will be some splashing, but plenty of fun and money raised for Challenge & Adventure. All entrants will be given a medal. Entry is £10 per adult, and £5 per child. Under 11 year olds must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Osborne Horse Trials CANCELLED


This fast-paced family equestrian event due to take place at Osborne on July 23rd and 24th has been cancelled.

The organisers BEDE Events hope to make a return for 2020.

Jack Up The Summer

Family-friendly throwback music festival.

This year’s hotly anticipated Jack Up The Summer festival takes place at its new centrally-located site, North Fairlee Farm in Newport. Now in its seventh year, enjoy feel-good party hits from the 80s and 90s, including Haircut 100’s Nick Heyward, Heaven 17, Strangler’s frontman Hugh Cornwell, Aswad and many more iconic 80s names on Saturday 10th. On Sunday 11th, two of the biggest boy bands from the 90s; East 17 and 911, pop-punk band Republica, Space, Phats & Small and Noasis. Bad Manners and Ska’d For Life will battle it out on stage on Friday 9th, in ‘Ultimate Ska Wars.’

IW Gin Festival

Back by popular demand, the Isle of Wight Gin Festival returns again this Cowes Week (August 9th – 17th) at Northwood House in Cowes.

Gin lovers can enjoy up to 100 boutique and unique gins from across the world during the ten-day event, all served to perfection from the festival bar from 12pm ‘til late. See more information at

New for 2019 – Dino Islands at Sandham Gardens

Go on a prehistoric journey to a forgotten land of dinosaurs at Sandham Gardens in Sandown. Dino Islands: A Golf Adventure is the latest attraction to open at the park and it includes a number of water features and life-size dinosaurs.
Suitable for all ages, there are also sizzling volcanoes, rickety bridges and wonderful waterfalls to explore.
You can also let the kids zoom around the track on the park’s six battery-powered electric karts, suitable for children aged 4-12.
