Royal Award for Business Woman
A Cowes businesswoman, who helps people to set up their own enterprises, is to be presented with one of the UK’s most coveted awards.
Hammie Tappenden, of Into biz Ltd., has been given the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion 2012. The accolade recognises individuals who have encouraged others into enterprise and is only given to up to ten people across the country each year.
Hammie has devoted the last 20 years to supporting over 6,000 individuals in business start-up, and has helped establish over 800 new businesses. Her clients include the long-term unemployed, people with disabilities, ex-offenders and women returners.
