Keep conservatories warm this winter
Conservatories have become an integral part of many homes of the Isle of Wight, but it is a cold fact that many of them stand unused during the winter months because of the elements.
There’s nothing worse than looking out on shivery conditions while standing in a room that is nearly as bleak.
However, Newport-based White Windows Ltd now have the perfect solution to keep your conservatory warm and inviting throughout the whole of the year. The company can supply and install Guardian Warm Roofs to your conservatory, turning it into an inviting, all-year-round room.
Matt Foreman, Managing Director of White Windows Ltd, is delighted with the feedback he has received from customers since his company began installing Guardian Warm Roofs just over a year ago. He said: “Warm Roofs can be put onto an existing lean-to conservatory up to a much larger construction, and allow people to enjoy outdoor living in far more comfort. There is no point in spending a large sum of money on a conservatory, and then not being able to use it for several months of the year.”
Although a Guardian Warm Roofs can be added to an existing conservatory, Matt points out that the ‘new builds’ White Windows Ltd are constructing have Guardian Warm Roofs as standard, and they are proud to be the only Island-based approved installers of the product. Ideally, if a Warm Roof is being installed to an existing conservatory, it is best to replace the walls as well, especially if the build is more than 10 years old.
The roof itself comprises an aluminium structure, covered first in plywood, then breathable membrane and synthetic slates or metro tiles. On the inside there is 40mm insulation between the roof bars, a roof baton, a further 25mm of insulation, and then 70mm plasterboard, to provide all-year protection. Velux windows are also an option in the roof for extra light.
Although around 75 per cent of conservatories White Windows Ltd construct are made of PVCu, with an extensive range of colours, aluminium has again become more fashionable, particularly as these days it also comes in a range of colours.
Matt, or one of his dedicated staff members, is happy to visit potential customers, and provide full details of costing, and how a Warm Roof can enhance a conservatory. White Windows Ltd, formed in 2013 under new ownership, also offer free quotations across the Island.
White Windows Ltd also offer a large range of low maintenance aluminium doors and PVCu entrance doors and have an exclusive TimberLook composite door selection, as well as beautiful bi-fold doors and sliding patio doors. All doors are supplied and fully fitted, and there is a huge choice of colours, hardware and glazing.
All styles of aluminium and PVCu windows can be supplied and fitted by White Windows, Ltd providing high security and heat insulation, and PVCu fascias, soffits, gutters and cladding are also available for supply and fit.
