Ladies, come and enjoy cycling – it’s a Breeze!
There’s nothing quite like getting on your bike and pedalling around a few of the idyllic places that can be found on the Isle of Wight.
If you are a woman, who would like the opportunity to do just that, but doesn’t fancy doing it alone, then help is at hand. Women-only Breeze bike rides are now on offer on the Island.
Led by women, for women, these inclusive rides are a great way to enjoy your cycling for fun and fitness, with a qualified leader on hand to support you all the way.
So just what is Breeze cycling?
Basically, it’s all about building confidence on the bike and having fun while you’re doing it. You can ride with a supportive and friendly female-only group and choose a speed and distance that suits you. You’ll get to experience the rush of the outdoors and get social with a coffee and chat afterwards. Use your postcode to find your nearest group on the Breeze Cycling website letsride.co.uk/breeze
Want to inspire more women to ride?
If you’re a confident female cyclist who wants to encourage other women to cycle for fun and fitness, there’s no better time to become a volunteer Breeze Champion.
Breeze is the biggest programme ever to get more women riding bikes in the UK. Led by women for women, Breeze relies on a group of volunteer ride leaders, known as Breeze Champions, to support other women on guided bike rides. Breeze empowers women to change the face of cycling for good and leave a lasting legacy in their area.
With over 2,000 Breeze Champions trained to date, you’ll be joining a network of inspirational, like-minded women.
The assessed one-day course qualifies you to deliver guided bike rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level adults and accompanied children on roads and cycle paths. We’ll also provide you with exclusive Breeze Champion kit, British Cycling Ride membership and on-going support to help you on your way.
If you are interested in becoming a Breeze champion or would like any more information please contact the sports unit at [email protected] or Tel: (01983) 823818
