Rely on Isle of Wight Fuels
Winter is fast approaching, and that inevitably means increased fuel consumption for heating oil users in many Island homes. But it is reassuring for those with oil fired heating or an Aga that Isle of Wight Fuels are on hand with their dedicated Island based sales team and efficient delivery service.
Isle of Wight Fuels are not only fuel distributors but owners buy clonazepam next day delivery of the Island’s only fuel oil storage terminal. The company have three dedicated tankers to serve the Island with heating oil, underlining their aim to offer a first class customer service. And when it comes to the costs of heating your home, the trade association for the heating oil distribution industry, Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) has confirmed that oil has been consistently the cheapest fuel for home heating.
The long-established terminal in East Cowes became Isle of Wight Fuels Ltd four years ago, coinciding with the arrival of David Grannum (pictured) as General Manager. He said: “It is always a concern to me that people are lulled into a false sense of security by buying alternative solutions that are supposed to be cheaper to run, but in fact are costing them more money than the traditional oil that they can store safely in their back gardens. And there are no standing charges or confusing contracts to understand.
“You can buy with confidence the best price of oil, and expect to receive it within a few days of ordering. We are aware that the oil we provide is an important utility and we have recently invested in two brand new petrol tankers to ensure we can continue to provide a reliable service
“Many parts of the Island are not connected to mains gas, so heating oil is an ideal solution. We are happy to offer advice if anyone would like to know more.”
Up to two million litres of fuel arrive at the East Cowes terminal each week, and contrary to popular belief, it is not carried here by pipeline from the mainland, but by a recently chartered larger ship which holds 1.8million litres of three different grades – petrol, diesel and kerosene – and brings supplies from Immingham, near Kingston upon Hull.
Once on the Island, the fuel is then distributed from another Kingston – this time Isle of Wight Fuels’ Kingston Road headquarters – to customers that range from Island Roads and Hovertravel, to supermarkets, and of course domestic consumers.
Isle of Wight Fuels have also been instrumental in the return to the Island of the popular Esso brand, with David explaining: “It is a strong brand that Island motorists know and trust, and we are able to provide Esso fuel following improvements at our terminal.”
Isle of Wight Fuels are continuing to raise their profile on the Island, knowing that without their expertise, knowledge and substantial investment, the whole Island would quickly grind to a halt, or at the very least cause major disruption by tankers bringing fuel over every day on the ferry routes.
